David wrote this text at a time when he was desperate and on the run for his life. His enemies (evil men) were threatening to topple him as king and they were seeking ways to kill him. 

We all will face times when we will come under attack of our enemies, but, like David, we have a shelter to run to in God. Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength; a very present help in trouble.

We may speak many times and never be heard, but God speaks once and his powerful "Words" are heard and seen around the universe.

Psalm 89:6-14 For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly sons is like the Lord? 7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the holy ones and awesome to all those who surround Him. 

8 O Lord God of Hosts, who is a mighty Lord like You, with Your faithfulness all around You? 9 You rule the raging of the sea;when the waves arise, You still them. 10 You crushed Rahab like a corpse; You scattered Your enemies with Your strong arm. 

11 The heavens are Yours; the earth also is Yours; the world and all that is in it, You have founded them. 12 The north and the south, You have created them;Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Your name. 

13 You have a mighty arm, and strong is Your hand, and victorious is Your right hand.14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth shall go before Your presence.

POWER BELONG TO GOD!

Our God is both strong and loving. Both His power and His love are seen in His Son, Jesus who is the Christ.

"The power of God is the "Sovereignty" of God. God has the ability, strength and power to bring to pass whatever He pleases. In His infinite wisdom and power, He does as He pleases for He is God and power belongs to God alone.

Man is only equipped with limited power that has been given to Him by God. 

We must make sure that we hear twice, God’s answer on how to deal with threatening/difficult problems.

If anyone opposes God’s power and resists His love, he or she will know God's  justice.

Remember, POWER BELONGS TO GOD!
